Homecoming 2025

The Tucson is finally home after being deployed for over 7 months. The crew is happy to be home but not as happy as the wives and children are to see them again. The 770Club financially supports the FRG for preparations in welcoming the crew home. The FRG make arrangements for a homecoming party with food, beverages and Flower Lei's they make themselves for the crew.

Holiday Party 2025

The Holiday Party for the crew and families will be better than ever since this will be the first all hands event since the crew returned from their recent deployment. The 770Club provides financial assistance for arranging the venue and catering.

Rodeo Week 2026

One of the many Traditions the 770Club has with the Tucson is to bring the Sailor of the Year (SOY), the Junior SOY and their spouses to Tucson during Rodeo Week. These sailors have proven themselves as the hardest working sailors on board. We reward them with a special vacation for them in the Ol' Pueblo where they fill a week-long itinerary along with being in the Rodeo Parade.

The USS Tucson 770 Club was started in 1994 upon the notification of a submarine being named the "TUCSON". Initial contact was made with the skipper, CDR Duane Baker and a support team was created here called "The USS Tucson Commissioning Committee". After commissioning, the Committee was dissolved and a concern group of Tucsonians, desiring to keep the liaison continuing, formed the Club under the auspices of the Navy League - Tucson Council. The 770 Club is now a stand-alone organization promoting the welfare of the crew and families of the USS Tucson.
